Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CommissionLog (the "Service"), a web application that helps small sales teams record sales and calculate sales commissions. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CommissionLog can be used in two ways: (a) a free tool that runs in your web browser with no account and no login, and (b) paid company accounts, where a company administrator creates an account, adds sales reps, logs sales, and views calculated commissions, and reps can view their own sales and commissions. The Service is provided as a tool for record-keeping and calculation; you remain responsible for checking that commission figures are correct before relying on them for payroll or payment.
2. Accounts (paid plan)
The free tool does not require an account. The following applies to paid company accounts:
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by reps you invite.
- Company administrators are responsible for deciding who has access to their company's data.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.
3. Plans and pricing
Free plan: the free tool is available at no cost, with no account or login. Your data stays on your own device (in your browser) and is not stored on our servers, so you are responsible for keeping your own backups, for example by using the CSV export. If you clear your browser data or change devices without a backup, your data may be lost and we cannot recover it. The free plan is separate from the paid plan and is not linked to any account.
Paid plan: paid company accounts include secure login, access from any device, unlimited sales reps, paid/pending commission tracking, CSV export, monthly goals and priority email support. The paid plan is currently priced at US$5 per month or US$50 per year. Prices are shown at checkout and may exclude applicable taxes. We may change prices or plan features in the future; any change will apply to your next renewal after we give you notice, and will not affect a billing period you have already paid for.
4. Payments and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns, taxes and billing. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
5. Subscription renewal and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. See our Refund Policy for refunds.
When a paid subscription ends (because you cancelled it, it was not renewed, or it was refunded), access to the paid features is switched off and your company account and Your Data are kept for 30 days. If you subscribe again within those 30 days, you get your account and data back exactly as they were. If you do not, the account and all its data are automatically and permanently deleted after the 30 days. We recommend exporting your data (CSV) before your subscription ends. You can also delete the account yourself at any time (see section 9).
6. Your data
You own the data you enter into the Service ("Your Data"). For paid accounts, you give us permission to store and process Your Data only as needed to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to enter any personal information about your reps and customers.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law using the Service; attempt to access other companies' data; probe, scan or disrupt the Service or its security; upload malicious code; resell or share paid access in a way that avoids fees; or use the Service to store content you have no right to store.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your company account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk. Deleting a company account permanently removes its reps, sales and commission records and cannot be undone. Data you delete yourself is removed from our live system right away; copies in our server backups may remain for a short additional period before they are overwritten.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that commission calculations will suit your particular compensation plan.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose (or US$50 if you used only the free plan). Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
